Summary

This research looks at three queer historical sites in Amsterdam, café 't Mandje, COC de Rozenstraat, and dancehall DOK, and the way in which these places are heritagesized. It studies the implications of looking at the historical city through a queer lens, and the way in which we choose to remember this particular past. In doing so it illustrates how queer heritage can attribute to a more inclusive heritage sector.
