Limited opening of terraces as of April 28

Terraces in Reguliersdwarsstraat

On Wednesday, April 28, the terraces of cafés and restaurants may reopen under strict conditions, as Prime Minister Rutte announced on yesterday evening.

For the time being, however, the terraces may only open between 12:00 and 18:00 hrs and the following rules apply:

- Reservations are required, this can be done in advance or at the door.
- On arrival there is a health check and you will be asked to register.
- A maximum of 2 people may sit at a table, unless people are from the same household.
- Terrace visitors remain seated as much as possible and keep 1.5 meters away from other visitors.
- You are only allowed to go in to visit the toilet or to pay (wear a face mask).

Not all businesses will open their terraces again now, for some it will not be profitable yet or the terrace is too small. Before visiting, therefore, first check the website and/or social media of the place.

The cafés and restaurants were closed since October 15, 2020 due to the rapidly increasing number of corona infections at the time. During the first corona wave, the businesses were also closed from March 15 to June 1, 2020.
